N.B.
1) Race named in retrospect the II Grand Prix de l'A.C.F.
2) There were four classes: Class A series 1, Class A series 2, Class B
(Motor Cycles) and Class C.
3) All cars above are Class A series 1 unless otherwise stated.
4) In stage 4 near Orange, Emile Levassor swerved to avoid hitting a dog.
His high, short-wheelbased car turned over and threw Levassor out. Levassor was soon up
and away and drove on to Avignon. There he handed the car over to d'Hostingue, his
companion, who drove the car through the rest of the race. Levassor never really
recovered from that accident and died on 14 April 1897.
